Durante le nozze, come di consueto, il cerimoniere suggerisce ai futuri sposi le parole da pronunciare per siglare il rito ma non sempre può bastare per evitare errori perchè l’emozione può giocare comunque brutti scherzi, talvolta divertenti come questo che vi propongo.

Il cerimoniere indica allo sposo (Andrew) di mettere l’anello al dito della sposa (Melissa) e gli suggerisce di pronunciare la seguente frase: «I, Andrew Paul Daniel … Do take Mellissa … To be my lawfully wedded wife» («Io Andrew Paul Daniel prendo te Melissa come mia legittima sposa»).
Qui viene il bello perchè Andrew, visibilmente emozionato, anzichè dire “lawfully” (ovvero: legittimamente) pronuncia la parola “wawfully” (termine americano usato in riferimento ad un dolce, il “waffle” anche noto col nome di Gauffre). L’ingenuo errore del futuro consorte scatena l’irrefrenabile ilarità di Melissa che finirà per contagiare un pò tutti e sicuramente anche voi.
